Thats the actual color of the sky. I try to to edit things unrealisticly but the sky here is alittle overwhelming at times.

I can believe that. Living in Missouri you would think that all sunsets and such are the same but nope. lol Also I have found in SD the skys are so much bluer. When I go visit my parents again I will get some pics from our last trip and upload them

And so, how does one of your days look like? Get up, breakfast. gear up, and go out for patrol?

Yeah a plain jane day would be: Wake up - breakfast - gear up and first patrol. After we got back from that we'd be off for a few hours or so and then we'd repeat and go back out in the evening. We call them patrols, but mostly we just meet with local leaders and try to help them get things rolling. Our big push right now is to get local govts moving and stable. For example yesterday we went to several schools in the Hardenia area and are setting up funding for the Iraqis' to improve them and to either move or finish one that the contractor had started to build and then left.

Ahh, and do you get into firefights? And also, you are a medic, right?

No, no firefights. Rarely someone will take pot shots at us or our vehicles but thats about it. We have been IEDed and such but no firefights. The Iraqis seem to be more interested in fighting each other rather than us. And yes I am a medic.
