My guys pulling security while our trucks were stopped for a few minutes. Taken near Balad, Iraq while looking for bridges over a canal that needed to be fixed or replaced completely.

Somebody backed that Caiman up into something else.

On a side note, the cover over the side windows is an interesting touch. Never saw anything like that when I was downrange. ^^;

Lol, yeah someone definatly hit something. The cover on the side is an attempt to deflect RKG-3s from making direct hits.

Huh, interesting idea. I assume it's to catch them and cause them to tumble prior to detonating, in which case the warhead would be pointed away from the hull.

Pretty nifty.

I remember seeing those signs. Are they still in use where you are at? We have blue signs on our trucks, now, with no english translation.

Yeah we still use the signs and pretty much every unit has their own variations of them.

My dad said that if he goes to Afghanistan, that's the kind of truck he'll be driving. It's made for crossing mine fields, and that's why the truck itself is armored and high off the ground :nod: But he better never have to go D:<

Hopefully he doesn't have to go, but if he does, it's a pretty safe truck.

Don't normally young soldiers go to Afghanistan and all those places in the news? And my Dad just turned 46.
